Why People Don’t Open Your Emails

People receive a lot of emails each day. So you need to fight to get the addressees you send the letter to open and read it.

When you write an e-mail where you deliver an offer and send it to thousands of people at your base. Eventually, a very small number get this offer,do you think about what you did wrong?

There are many aspects where you could make a mistake – maybe your letter was not perfectly written, or the page to which it was linked was not so attractive. Or maybe the offer wasn’t even good.

All of these reasons are well substantiated, but here’s one factor you need to focus on first, and that is to open the letter by the addressee.

What you need to do to get the recipient to open your email

The ideal e-mail is one that opens and it starts with the title. There is a lot of information on how to write a compelling title, but you don’t have time to study it – you have hundreds of e-mails that you haven’t opened yet.

There are three simple rules for how to write a compelling title.

  1. Give a brief statement – Use 25 characters if you can, or at least give the main message in the first 25 characters.
  2. Explain why you sent this e-mail and what it is about. For example, “Free consultation on business plan preparation”.
  3. Make it personal and fun – use the username if possible. Also, if the demographic data is correct, consider the smilies. Many things can be said through them and they are very eye-catching in a large volume of text.
The content of the letter

The content of the letter should match your title. Also it should be clear and easy to read for a variety of devices. If the audience feels that your email address has misled them, they are likely to no longer open your email.

Think about who you are writing to and how they want to understand what you are trying to say. If your letter does not contain “who, what, where, when, why, and how”, then it is not ready to be sent.

Call to action

Complete your email with a call to action. Whether it’s about buying, sharing things on social media, sending an e-mail to a friend, or something else.

You make every effort to read your email, so never end it without asking for anything. Be direct in what you want them to do, otherwise, they will do nothing.
